WHEN WAS THE ORGANIZATION CREATED?
Long before the city of Aventura was incorporated, the Aventura Marketing Council / World-Class Chamber of Commerce worked closely with the Joint Council of Aventura, the community’s major residential organization, to handle traffic, signage, beautification, security and all other commercial and residential issues.
HOW DO YOU WORK WITH THE CITY OF AVENTURA?
Once Aventura incorporated in 1995 and voted in their first Mayor and Commission, we became close working partners with the City.
Our elected and appointed officials often attend our monthly Breakfast Meetings and Chairman’s Roundtable luncheons.
Each month we honor the “Aventura Police Officer of the Month” at our Breakfast Meetings.
We provide the city with extensive coverage in the Aventura News about their ongoing projects, programs and special events.
DO YOU ACCEPT MEMBERS FROM OTHER CITIES?
We certainly do! We have businesses from throughout Miami-Dade and Broward counties as active members.
HOW DO YOU SUPPORT LOCAL CHARITIES?
Over the past twenty-nine years, we have raised over $1.5 million for an entire spectrum of charities and schools. And when we say $1.5 million raised, that means that $1.5 million has gone ‘into the pockets’ of charities ranging from the City of Hope and the I Have a Dream Foundation to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and scholarships at Florida International University.
DO YOU WORK WITH YOUR SCHOOL SYSTEM?
We are the proud winners of four "Dade Partner" awards from the Miami-Dade County Public Schools for our very strong programs we have with ten Dade Partner schools, and we have been inducted into the Dade Partners Hall of Fame.
Our award-winning Education Committee meets monthly during the school year to continue working on programs such as our Student Connection (program for at-risk students), career shadowing days, mentorships, career guidance, job placement and so much more!
HOW DO YOU HELP MEMBERS PROMOTE MEMBER BUSINESSES?
New members are introduced and presented with a beautiful plaque at each Breakfast Meeting. In addition, we create a monthly flyer including all new members’ information which is distributed at the Breakfast Meeting.
The Aventura Marketing Council / World-Class Chamber of Commerce purchases six pages every other week in the Aventura News (bi-weekly distrib. 10,000) to promote our members! Week after week we feature our monthly events, as well as stories about AMC members.
All members have the opportunity to spotlight their business by sponsoring or hosting one of the many monthly meetings.
All member are listed categorically on our AMC website.
All members have the opportunity to submit postings featured on our AMC Social Media outlets.
All members have the opportunity to request personal introductions and to meet businesses ‘one-on-one’ with our SpeedBiz meetings.
WOULD MEMBERSHIP BE GOOD FOR A SMALL BUSINESS?
Better than you could imagine! Small businesses have the opportunity to network with other small businesses, as well as large businesses... the very ones you are trying to reach to sell your products and services to.
HOW CAN I DISPLAY MY GOODS OR SERVICES TO THE AMC MEMBERSHIP?
Each year we host our annual Business Expo & Networking Reception, which is the perfect opportunity to spotlight your business to the local community.
ARE THERE ADDITIONAL COST FOR MEETINGS?
Once you are a member, all meetings are included in your annual membership. The only meetings we charge for are our Aventura Young Professionals Luncheon (AYP Luncheon); Law Committee Seminars; and Professional Women's Council.
That’s over 60+ meetings that you’re entitled to as a benefit of membership.
