| Agadir Moroccan Cuisine hosts Aventura Marketing Council |

The beautiful Agadir Moroccan Cuisine restaurant in the Waterways Shops recently was the site for an Aventura Marketing Council (AMC) luncheon meeting where almost 170 members showed up despite the heavy rains.
“Because there was a heavy downpour the entire morning, we expected our attendance to dramatically drop...but it actually increased!” said Claudio Stivelman, partner in Shefaor Development and AMC Vice Chairman who ran the meeting. “I think that our members had their curiosity piqued with this new restaurant that offers traditional Moroccan/Israeli cuisine.”
Owners Ruth and Rachelle Gordon prepared a beautiful buffet complete with Moroccan-style tilapia, Moroccan cigars, Moroccan cole slaw, cous cous and chicken with olives and artichokes. After the entrees and side dishes were served, the Gordons brought out an enormous bowl of fresh fruit salad and tray upon tray of mini sweets...the perfect ending to the meal. “Agadir can be the right place for your social or corporate event,” said Rachelle Gordon, noting that there is seating for over 150 indoors and another 50+ outdoors overlooking the Waterways Marina. “We also feature a full bar and the hookah lounge open Tuesday- Sunday from 5 p.m. on. “
The Aventura Marketing Council changed course slightly and instead of having a guest speaker, featured a drum circle provided by Ran Oz of CooLAM Dance Productions. In the private VIP Room at Agadir, Ran led a group of willing volunteers on the 15 drums sets that he brought in—eliciting a level of happiness that can only be attained by releasing all your stress by pounding on the drums! Noisy? Yes! Fun? Oh, yes!
“It was a great afternoon....a wonderful change of pace....we enjoyed the luncheon, the ambience and the warm hospitality of the Gordons that encouraged some terrific networking!” said Ben Launerts, Board Member of the Aventura Marketing Council and president of Parksman Parking.
