The majestic Acqualina Resort & Spa on the Beach, home of famed restaurant Il Mulino New York, recently rolled out the red carpet for Aventura Marketing Council members invited to a regal networking event celebrating “art, architecture and life.”

AMC business and community leaders were welcomed by Stephanie Trump, principal of The Trump Group – renowned for developing Acqualina on the ocean in Sunny Isles Beach and Aventura’s Williams Island. The “royal family” of hospitable associates also greeting guests included Deborah Yager Fleming, vice president of sales and marketing; Susan Wesselhoft, director of catering and conference services; and Il Mulino executive chef Michele Mazza.

The acclaimed Italian restaurant Il Mulino New York is a jewel in the crown of Acqualina - the magnificent 51-story Mediterranean-inspired tower designed by renowned architect Robert Swedroe.

Renowned for its bustling and energetic atmosphere, market fresh daily specials, extensive selection of fine Italian wines and impeccably polished waitstaff, Il Mulino has been honored as “#1 Italian Restaurant” on the New York City Zagat Survey for an astonishing 20 years.

Il Mulino also offers a selection of their finest dishes in family-style portions with their Pick Up & Go Menu. Making it easy to pick up lunch for the office or bring home a delicious meal to the family. In addition, with Il Mulino’s “Lunch Pronto”, busy executives on-the-run can enjoy a quick two-course lunch by simply selecting either the Soup di Giorno or Caesar salad as a first course, and an entrée selection for the second course.

Since opening, Acqualina has also received numerous awards and accolades, including Travel + Leisure's World's Best Award; Spa Finder Readers' Choice Awards; Robb Report's Top 100 Exclusive Luxury Resorts; and Conde Nast Traveller’s Top Spas in The Americas and Caribbean. Enhancing Acqualina’s global appeal, the City of Sunny Isles Beach has earned the distinction #1 destination in the United States according to Trip Advisor, the world’s largest travel community.

During the networking event, AMC members had the opportunity to tour Acqualina’s opulent guest rooms and palatial suites featuring spectacular water views, comfortable king beds, flat-screen televisions, entertainment units, gloriously oversized baths and private terraces.

Another tour highlight was the 20,000 square-foot, two-story ESPA at Acqualina providing guests and outside clients with a true European spa experience, combining the best of ancient and modern therapies with the latest and finest skin care advances.

AMC entrepreneurs planning business functions were also intrigued to learn Acqualina has four oceanfront meeting rooms as well as perfect venues for private parties and special occasions.

Back at Il Mulino, AMC friends and colleagues gathered under the stars on the oceanfront terrace agreed, “Acqualina's elegant ambiance and first-class services called for a high-end restaurant providing a classic taste of Italy. Il Mulino’s superior product and intrinsic charm bring all the right ingredients to the table. We’ll be back soon for a power lunch or superb dinner!”

Before it was time to leave the splendor of Acqualina, door prizes fit for kings and queens were awarded including: A cooking class with Chef Mazza won by Ben Launerts of Park One; ESPA treatments won by Sharon King of State Farm; and a fine bottle of wine selected by Il Mulino’s Sommelier won by Gabriela Ratier from the office of optometrist Dr. Robert Sheir.
